Uh, I guess this goes here. Please move it if I posted it in the wrong section. If it doesn't belong here, I'm sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused you.
Anyways, my favourite episode is the last one, the one about the scalpel in BJ's body.

Yup! You mean Like a Pearl? It's original manga is Sometimes Like Pearls. It's considered to be the most memorable Black Jack story ever! I see why!

Manga vol. 1 is "temporarily unavailable to order" here from my bookstore, but I managed to order volume 2. I think my Comic shop will be able to get it for me.

My friend gave me the first volume (it's all in Thai) but it has Sometimes Like Pearls in it. It's not far from the anime remake, one difference is Pinoco's already there when BJ gets the package. It's very accurate. Anyone want me to post scans?

Sure! Why not?
Glad you got it!
No one can resist his childhood cuteness! Of al the people I know, there's only one that's immune to it–my busmate. She claims he looks like a girl but what does she know?

Well, the second epi really tugged at my heart strings, but I have to admit, the fourth episode really takes top place. <3

Since you're Animax-Asia, too, haven't you noticed they corrected or edited some parts of the special? They're in Karte 2: The Disowned Son and Karte 4: Like a Pearl.
As for Karte 1: Where's the Doctor?, my friend thought of it as weird. After reading the Rock Holmes Transformation articles in Tezuka in English did I learn to appreciate it more. The real miracle isn't that Teddy's life was spared. It was actually the death of Rock Holmes, the boy who plays Akudo Nikura. Some of you may ask why.
From an innocent little boy, he was transformed into a monster as he made more apperances in other Tezuka works. He was a child-hero in his first appearance in Detective Boy Rock Holmes. Though he was always selfish, he was still considered a protagonist. Then, starting from Nextworld, he was transformed into a cold boy, unlike Kenichi Shihishima, the one who played Mitsuo in Karte 02: The Ant's Legs, who remained pure.
The miracle was the destruction of the evil Rock back into the good one we all used to know.
Enough about that, Like a Pearl still rules!

I only saw the Animax-Asia version of "The Disowned Son", accidentally. I don't tend to watch it there because of the changes and the horrid voices. XD (Though, I have to admit, it's a tiny bit better than most of their dubs... but it's still not good enough.)
Some of his comments were changed ever-so-slightly, but that really affected his charm. :< Bah.

I was really annoyed in Karte 02: The Ant's Legs.
Assistant Doctor 1: 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...
Assistant Doctor 2: You'll never make it!
Black Jack: QUIT YOUR D-A-M-N PESSIMISSM! YOU'RE RUINING MY MOOD!
That was just plain wrong. I know this word is not allowed but I want to show you guys just how bad it is.

Holy crap. That is NOT Black Jack at all. GO ANIMAX. </sarcasm>
One line I distinctly remember was from, again, "Good Luck, Kowa Clinic!", where instead of saying her usual line, the nurse said: "Maybe they're taking you in for a cameo on Nip/Tuck, doctor!" Or was it Scrubs? Whichever show it was. It's humorous, but at the same time... annoying. Really annoying.
Animax. Please, please don't kill Black Jack's character.
