I actually liked the movie, the movie wasn't really a movie. It was more like just another episode of the ova.
I like watching the ovas when I want to watch something serious, but I like to see tv for more humor mood. 21 is like a mix of the both, has tv's animation style, but more serious like the ovas.
But that's just my opinion.
(Metropolis was good <3, we have the original movie it was based on at our store. The anime movie and the manga are nothing alike. If I remember correctly, Tezuka didn't want Metropolis to be made into a movie, but after he died they did it anyway.)

In Black Jack TV they change the conclusions to the same old happy endings as much as possible. However, the ones working on Black Jack 21 stuck more to the original, darker. The series is actually a hybrid of two different episodes stitched together, filled in with a plot instead of scenes of Pinoko and Sharaku to fill the spaces. Black Jack manga on its own is too short to fill a thrity-minute long time slot.

I'd like to see the movie though. There was someone who was asking me about where to get DVD's. I proudly answered what I was talking about in my previous posts but he/she told me she already had the special as well as 21. Man, some people are just too lucky!

I can say proudly that this was the first anime movie that my mother was able to watch more than 30min (she always falls sleep after the 15 min). So i guess is very decent.

Two Black Doctors.
Sorry. I can't help calling it that. If it really was Two Dark Doctors/Two Doctors of Darkness, shouldb't it be Futari no Yami Isha? Does that even make any sense at all?

Sad for me, though. The computer will be reformatted any time now so I don't think I can watch it.
*prays Animax will air it even with the not-so-good dubbing*
