DeKiller has a similar look, but definitely is nothing like Black Jack. As the name implies, he's a killer =O He's a hired assassin in one of the Phoenix Wright games and kidnaps one of the main character during a trial.

But Capcom are known for making parodies in their games. So if it were comedically based on BJ's appearence than it's no surprise. I don't think it is. To me he dose not look a thing like bj other then a scar on his face (and its not even the in the same place) If there is any BJ reference in the game at all it have to be this guy www.court-records.net/chara2-2.htm and that's still a stretch...

Lol, you're right. But it's still quite far. Anyway, if theres any reference to BJ on Phoenix Wright, it would most likely be his name because PW is known for name puns, like April May.
DeKiller always remind me of BJ even though the hair and scar are in other places (^I^). It's just the hair and scar. I think DeKiller is like the total opposite of BJ. He's a killer and his head is perfectly symmetrical, save for the monocle. Looking at him makes me lol.

Hmmm...I found one from Apollo Justice. but it's not really mentioned. Very vague...I dont even think its a reference but sure does remind me of him... www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iqQTXq9OBkwatch from 6:00. He searched the globe and only one surgeon could do it, with a very high price... Sounds like any other surgeon...-_-;;

I'm currently playing "Lifesigns: Surgical Unit" (aka "Lifesigns: Hospital Affairs" in the Europe).
In the last chapter of the game (I don't know if there's other dating options), if you go on a date with Hoshi, Dr. Tendo and her will go to the movies and you get to select what movie to watch (though you don't actually get to see a film) and one of the movies is called "Black Tower", having a poster with a man having a suspiciously similar look as our dear BJ and they even comment that is was based on an old tv drama of a gifted surgeon that works unlicensed and has a scar across his face.
I'll have to find a way to get a screencap sooner or later, but I highly suggest the game in general if you guys are curious to play it. It's like a mix of Phoenix Wright and Life and Death (old dos game). At least in the US, gamestop is selling it used for about $8. I blame the cheap-looking cover art for me to wait this long to buy it.
