I know I've been addicted to Black Jack since November 25, 2006, 9:00 PM but there are a bunch of things I still haven't cleared up yet for myself and I'd like to ask the specialists here.
1) What does "Hazama" mean? I've heard it in a song called Blaze.
2) Why are the episodes labeled "Karte"'s?
3) What's the true color of Black Jack's eyes? Red? Brown? Reddish brown? Brownish red?
4) Where the heck did he get that stupid hat from Black Jack 21?
5) Why does a manga as great as Black Jack, published from 1973-1983, get its anime series only in 2004?
6) Is Largo male or female? Who thought up of that weird-sounding name anyway?
7) If the cover of the manga includes Black Jack's skin being shaded, couldn't Tezuka just color the blue skin that way?
8) Why does he love black coffee so much?
9) If Black Jack really did save Kumiko's life when she was three years old, why couldn't she recognize him? Didn't they grow up together since young Kuroo Hazama was left in the care of Doctor Honma? See Karte 21: Ice Breaker, Original Manga Issue #167 The First Storm in the Spring.
10) How old is Black Jack exactly? If he was an army doctor in World War II, that'll make him 90-something, wouldn't it? He lives in the modern day where computers and mobile phones exist.
11) Doesn't her ever get hot in his clothes? He wears five layers of clothing on a daily basis and black is the color that absorbs the most radiation from the sun.
12) Why does he love to answer your questions so indirectly?
13) How does that cloak manage to stick to his shoulders allthe time? Whether he runs, driving his speed boat, or getting into a pickle?
14) What's the point of wearing the surgical cap if his hair's just gonna stick out of it?
15) Why is it that Doctor Tezuka always says something rather offensive to Black Jack? See Karte 10: Legend of the Phoenix, Original Manga Issue #158 The Phoenix; and Karte 31: Intimidation in the 20th Year, Original Manga Issue #202 Suggestion in the 20th Year.
