It is something about love and reincarnation (and Melmo).

Summary: Apollo's Song is basically the tale of a loveless high schooler named Shogo Chikaishi, who undergoes treatment at a high security mental hospital. Later, he escapes and police chase after him. That's when Hiromi Watari (looks like the older version of Melmo) comes in and takes Shogo up into a mountain lodge. There, she proceeds to train Shogo as a marathon runner. However, Hiromi's ex-fiancee interferes, and tries to get rid of Shogo. As Shogo's love for Hiromi grew (and vice-versa) Hiromi is visited by Shogo's doctor from the mental hospital (who was Hiromi's teacher) and denies that she loves Shogo. Shogo overhears this, and runs away. Hiromi leaves the lodge, leaving the Doctor behind, and is picked up by her ex-fiancee. Hiromi can't force herself to leave Shogo by himself, and searches for him. In the end, Shogo and Hiromi's relationship is repaired, but not without disaster. In between scenes, Shogo has strange dreams. In the first one, Shogo is cursed to spend eternity loving ,then dying. This curse is carried out on his following dreams, in WW2 Germany, on a distant tropical island, and in a futuristic dystopia. Every time I read this manga I get emotional... But it's so good
