If you don't already have the Black Jack OVA DVDs, you should try to find copies soon. The first collection, according to amazon, has been discontinued and most of the other DVDs are almost out of stock. www.amazon.com/dp/B0002S65OA

Several people are selling them on ebay. The first collection seems non existent but the others are often sold.

I'm also happy that i have mine already but this happened before
A few years ago right after I got the 1st box set. It went out of print then a few months later it went back in print but the price dropped from $50 to $25. But I don't think that's the case this time. Maybe the license ran out or its going to be re-released in a new edition.

Yes, I think it's different too. It used to say on amazon, sign up to see when this item will be re-released from the publisher, and now it just says discontinued.

Ahh, I just got my Collection 2 boxset today. The first collection is way too expensive, so I might have to buy the others seperately...

Well, Anime Sols are going to add the OVAs to their list once they're done with the TV 2004 series, but only in its original Japanese dub. Anime Sols does not crowdfund English dubs.
To be honest, the Black Jack OVA English dubs made me want to cringe.
The Original Japanese DVDs are also going to be released on Blu-Ray starting next month in April 2014, which was announced on TezukaOsamu.net. (Official Osamu Tezuka site)
